Project Description: Made recommendations to the World Bank on the long-term strategic direction for the IFC’s Global Credit Bureau Program based upon a comparative study of the technical assistance and advisory services (AS) to the public and private sector, implemented by IFC’s Regional Facilities and Global Credit Program. The evaluation compared the different interventions and identified the different approaches adopted in IFC’s client countries globally. The review included visits to Egypt, Romania and Nicaragua and interviews conducted with IFC HO staff in Washington DC. This resulted in the identification of best practices and lessons learned in the delivery of credit bureau advisory service programs and recommended measures to track and monitor the effectiveness of the advisory services provided.
